Bulls begin Eastern Division swing with loss

SWIFT CURRENT, Sask. — The Lethbridge Bulls have begun a swing through the WMBL’s Eastern Division on a losing note.

The Bulls were defeated by the defending champion Swift Current 57s 5-1 on Sunday, July 16. Blake MacDonald drove in the Bulls’ only run with a sacrifice fly in the fourth inning. Nolan Handley and Darius Carter each had two of the Bulls’ six hits.

Lethbridge starter Brady Moxham allowed all five Swift Current runs, two of them earned, on 11 hits over six innings for the loss.

The Bulls’ record dropped to 21-16, four games back of division-leading Okotoks. Their next game is Monday, July 17 when they visit the 21-15 Weyburn Beavers.
