LETHBRIDGE COUNTY – The Federal Government has delivered the first of two annual Gas Tax Fund installments to Alberta.

The funding is meant to help communities with local infrastructure projects.

The first installment is $109.5 million. The money is distributed every July and November.

Lethbridge County gets $542,419 of that amount.

It will be used for three projects including base stabilization on Indian Hill Golf Course Road, construction between Township Road 10-2 and Hwy 25, and to replace water pumps and add an emergency generator at the Lethbridge Airport.
