Infrastructure failure blamed for north-side power outage

LETHBRIDGE – City officials say an “overhead infrastructure failure” is the reason for the north side power outage on Sunday afternoon.

Power went out shortly after 1:00.  It involved an area from 9 Avenue to 26 Avenue and from about 23 Street to 28 Street. The intersection at 28 street and 26 Avenue North was also out

Power was restored about an hour late, but crews were still trying to determine what caused the outage.
