Bulls give up lead, face elimination

MEDICINE HAT — The Lethbridge Bulls are on the brink of playoff elimination, after letting another lead slip away.

The Bulls lost to the Medicine Hat Mavericks 9-6 Thursday, Aug. 3. Lethbridge led 6-0 in the middle of the 6th inning. But the Mavericks came roaring back with nine unanswered runs.

Starting pitcher Wesley Moore allowed three runs on seven hits over six innings. Reliever Louis Corral was tagged with the loss, after the Mavericks did most of their damage in the 7th.

Alex Bishop had a home run and three RBIs for the Bulls, who now trail Medicine Hat 2-1 in the best-of-five series.
