Hurricanes sign import draft pick Zudilov

LETHBRIDGE -- The Hurricanes will have a second import player on the roster when training camp begins for the 2017-18 season.

Yegor Zudilov, Lethbridge's first round selection in the CHL import draft, has signed a WHL Standard Player Agreement with the team. The 16-year-old had 31 goals and 34 assists in 36 games with the Russia Under-17 league last season.

Zudilov's signing brings the number of imports back up to two, along wtih Igor Merezhko, after Egor Babenko signed in the KHL.

The rookies report to camp Thursday, Aug. 24, and main camp begins Saturday, Aug. 26.
