LETHBRIDGE – The public will soon be able to view the last of eight College Homes, built as a partnership between the Canadian Home Builders’ Association, and Lethbridge’s Stranville Living Master Builder.

The purpose of the five- year partnership between the CHBA and local home builders, was to donate the proceeds of the sales of each home to the Trades and Technologies Facility at Lethbridge College. It’s Stranville’s second time participating in the program.

Executive Officer of the Canadian Homebuilders’ Association, Kristen DeMone, they are always looking for opportunities to give back to the community.

“It is very important to our membership to give back to the city in which we work, live and play.”

College Development Officer Angela Zuba says when the program was created in 2012, it was designed to support the new Trades and Technologies Facility.

“What it shows to the community now and to the students is that the residential construction industry is dedicated to ensuring that the homes that they produce for the families growing up in Lethbridge are made with integrity, quality, professionalism… and they’re bucking the trend for technological advances. So it’s extremely important that we have that support from the business industry.”

By the time the final home is sold, it’s expected that about $750,000 will be donated to Lethbridge College.

The home is located at 259 Northlander Bend West in the Garry Station West Subdivision and is listed on Stranville’s website for $410,000.
