LETHBRIDGE – Lethbridge Police are looking for five suspects, in connection with a reported kidnapping and home invasion.

On Sept. 10, police say five men went into a home along the 1200 block of 22 St. North in search of another male. When they didn’t find the individual they were looking for, they started interrogating an acquaintance.

They allegedly assaulted the 28-year-old victim, then forced him outside and into a vehicle, which was driven to another residence along Jerry Potts Blvd West. The group then forced the victim to knock on the door of the home, and rushed inside when it opened.

Inside the house, one of the men grabbed a female occupant by the throat and forced her against a wall, while another searched the home, armed with a baseball bat. The group fled after once again failing to locate the person they were looking for, and returned to the northside residence, where the 28-year-old victim was able to escape.

The suspects are described as four black males and one white male. The black males are described as having accents, with one having short facial hair and dreadlocks and possibly wearing all black clothing and a black hat. The white male is described as having a “European sounding” accent, dark hair, a “chin-strap” beard and may have been wearing a white, possibly long-sleeved shirt.

Anyone with information regarding the matter is asked to contact police at 403-328-4444 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
