Oilers return Skinner to Hurricanes

LETHBRIDGE – Goaltender Stuart Skinner was one of five players trimmed from the Edmonton Oilers’ training camp roster and assigned to their junior teams Sunday, Sept. 18.

Skinner was returned to the Lethbridge Hurricanes ahead of their regular season opener. The 78th-overall selection in the 2017 NHL Entry Draft, Skinner had a shutout for the Oilers in a 3-0 win over Winnipeg at the 2017 Young Stars tournament.

The Hurricanes will open their season at home Friday, Sept. 22 against Medicine Hat.
