More school closings Wednesday as storm cleanup continues

LETHBRIDGE - More school closings were announced Wednesday, Oct. 2 as the cleanup continued from Monday's winter storm.

As of 6:15 a.m.: Horizon School Division says school is closed in Lomond, Enchant, and Grassy Lake. All other schools are open, but bus delays and cancellations are possible.

Fortis Alberta was still working to restore power to a handful of areas in the Bow Island district between Taber and Medicine Hat.

Livingstone Range School Division said one of its buses was involved in an accident at around 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 3. It said students and staff were all fine, and were picked up.
