LETHBRIDGE – Another adjournment has been granted in the second-degree murder case of Rodney Yellow Old Woman.

The 52-year-old Lethbridge man is accused in the death of 48-year-old Trixie Chief Moon.

An agent appearing for Yellow Old Woman’s lawyer, Claudia Connolly, asked for the adjournment as they are still awaiting full disclosure from the Crown. They said that to this point they have only received a brief narrative, and need to see things like the medical and autopsy reports.

The case was then adjourned to Nov. 7, with Yellow Old Woman remaining in custody. He has yet to have a bail hearing.

Yellow Old Woman was arrested on Sept. 16, after a Lethbridge Police Service officer on patrol observed and intervened in an assault in the parking lot of the Multicultural Centre at 421 6 Avenue South.

The victim, suffering from life-threatening injuries, was transported to the Chinook Regional Hospital where she died a short time later.
