CARDSTON - The Cardston Cougars capped off an undefeated regular season (4-0) with a 16-10 victory over the L.C.I. Rams on Friday night. The Cougars also captured the T. Eaton Golden Football Trophy for the third time in school history.

Jayce Nelson scored the game-winning touchdown with less than three minutes to go in the 4th quarter.

Mikhail Moojalsky had the only other Cougar touchdown.

This is the first year the Cougars have been the Southern Alberta High School Football League Champions since 2013, dethroning L.C.I. who had held the title for the past three years.

Post-season action begins next Friday, Oct. 27, along Alberta Schools Athletic Association Tier lines.
