Gatherings to observe Remembrance Day across region

LETHBRIDGE – In addition to services in Lethbridge, people in communities across southern Alberta will gather Saturday, Nov. 11 to remember the sacrifices of those who served. Scheduled Remembrance Day ceremonies include:

Taber’s Royal Canadian Legion Branch No. 20 says the public as well as veterans and families are invited to a flag ceremony at 9 a.m. at the cemetery. The ceremony at the Community Centre auditorium will begin at 10:45 a.m. and people are asked to get there well ahead of time. A luncheon will follow at the Legion hall.

In Coaldale, the ceremony will begin at 10:30 a.m. at Jennie Emery Elementary School, 1101 – 22 Ave.

Pincher Creek’s Remembrance Day ceremony will begin at 10:45 a.m. at the Community Hall.
