Fire causes $50,000 damage to north side home

LETHBRIDGE – Damage is estimated at $50,000 from a house basement fire in north Lethbridge.

The call came in around 4 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 22 to the 300 block of 12 St. North. There were no flames visible when firefighters arrived, but crews could see melted blinds, and smoke coming from the windows and vents.

The fire was contained by crews from two fire halls, and nobody was hurt.

The cause of the fire is being investigated.
