Work to close block of 1st Ave. S. for next week

LETHBRIDGE – A road closure expected to last a week will affect traffic on the eastern edge of downtown Lethbridge.

Beginning Monday, Dec. 11 at 9 a.m., crews will begin work to replace the water and sewer lines on the 900 block 1 Ave. S., just east of Stafford Dr.

Traffic, including people accessing businesses on 1 Ave., will be detoured onto 2 Ave. S.

The street is expected to reopen Dec. 18.
