Medicine Hat man taken into custody by Taber Police following assault on Saturday night

TABER – Taber Police were called in on Saturday night (Dec. 23) about a complaint of a serious assault with weapons in the 5500 block of 38 Avenue.
When police arrived on scene, a woman was located with severe facial injuries and was taken to Taber Hospital for medical treatment.
Taber Police located the suspect, a man from Medicine Hat, in an apartment nearby and took him into custody.
Police say that the victim and suspect are known to each other.
