Commercial fire causes $50,000 damage

LETHBRIDGE –  City fire crews from three stations were called to a commercial structure fire in the 3000 block of 6 Ave North around 7:10 p.m. Tuesday (Jan 9) evening.
 
Smoke was flowing out of vents and open doors when firefighters arrived, but no flames were visible. Employees had discovered the fire and extinguished the original source but the fire spread to other areas and was extinguished by fire crews.
 
There were no injuries and damage is estimated to be $50,000.

An investigation has already determined the fire to be accidentaL.
