Palliser cancels buses for Friday amid winter storm

LETHBRIDGE – Poor road conditions and more snow expected overnight has prompted Palliser Regional Schools to cancel all school buses on Friday, Feb. 9.

In a media release, Palliser officials say there will be no regular classes, however, schools will remain open for the safety of any children who are inadvertently dropped off. Parents of those children will then be contacted, and arrangements will be made for their care.

They also noted that the impact on instructional hours should be relatively minimal, as most Palliser schools only operate for half-days on Fridays.
