Feb 14, 2018 | 2:03 PM

PINCHER CREEK – RCMP say a woman is in the hospital, after a bizarre accident occurred Tuesday afternoon.

According to a witness, around 4:45 p.m., a female walked on to Beverley McLachlin Drive, then began running towards a moving vehicle.

The driver also told police that he watched her do so, but couldn’t avoid hitting her, because of the icy road conditions.

The woman landed on the roof of the vehicle, suffering unspecified injuries. She was initially transported to the Pincher Creek Health Centre, then to Lethbridge for treatment.

Police are continuing their investigation and trying to figure out why the woman would run towards a moving vehicle.
