Eaves earns pair of silver medals at Alberta Winter Games

LETHBRIDGE – Mikka Eaves from the Lethbridge Speed Skating Association had a good showing at the 2018 Alberta Winter Games held in the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo this weekend, as she earned a pair of silver medals.

The first was in the T2T 1 11/12 Female Division, and Eaves also earned a silver medal skating with the T2T 2 13/14 Female team that included Jasmine Belisle and Preslee Muller in the relay events on Monday, Feb. 19.

Training to Train (T2T 1) 11/12 years old

Female:

Mikka Eaves – 2nd

Jasmine Sinclair – 9th

Abigail Reimer – 19th

Male:

Riley Vanderburgh – 4th

Braeden Kremenik – 7th

Jonathan Macintosh – 8th

Carson Love – 12th

Training to Train (T2T 2) 13/14 years old

Female:

Jasmine Belisle – 4th

Preslee Muller – 5th

Male:

Seth Muller – 4th

Ethan Jacobsen, from the Medicine Hat Speed Skating Association rounded out the Zone 1 skaters, finishing 5th in the T2T 2 13/14 Male Division

T2T 1 11/12 years old

Female: Abby Reimer, Jasmine Sinclair, Paige Mclennan (Calgary) – 1st in B final, 5th overall

Male: Jonnathan McIntosh, Braeden Kremenik, Carson Love – 4th

T2T 2 13/14 years old

Female: Jasmine Belisle, Mikka Eaves, Preslee Muller – 2nd

Male: Seth Muller, Riley Vanderburgh, Ethan Jacobson – 1st in B final, 5th overall

The Alberta Winter Games provide an opportunity for athletes aged 11-17 to compete at the provincial level against their peers to reach their athletic potential.
