Police ask for help identifying armed robbery suspects

LETHBRIDGE –  An investigation into an armed robbery at a northside gas station continues and police need the public’s help to identify the suspects.

Around 2:30 on the morning of Tuesday, February 20, police responded to Gas King along the 900 block of 5 Avenue North.  Officers found two injured employees – a 20-year-old man and 24-year-old man.  Their investigation determined that two unknown men, who were masked and armed with weapons, entered the store. One man demanded cash and assaulted both employees. Both suspects fled, after an undisclosed amount of money was turned over.

The area was searched, but the suspects were not located. EMS transported the victims to hospital where they were treated and released.

The first suspect is described as approximately 6’0 to 6’1” tall with an average build. He was wearing a white hoodie with the word “Crooks” across the chest and a white and black emblem on the back.

The second suspect is described as approximately 5’8” tall with an average build. He was wearing a black/grey sweater with a grey hood.
