Local wrestlers impress in Calgary at Alberta Open Provincial Wrestling Championships

LETHBRIDGE – Local wrestlers participated in the Alberta Open Provincial Wrestling Championships at the University of Calgary on Saturday, Mar. 3 and Sunday, Mar. 4.

Due to the inclement weather, Lethbridge Wrestling didn’t have as many wrestlers attend as planned but even factoring that in they had some great results:

Maren Evanson – 1st

Ryder Lowry – 1st

Millie Stafford – 1st

Also for the first time in Alberta, there was a Women’s Greco Roman class offered, and Angelina Ellis-Toddington took 2nd place in her first time wrestling Greco.
