Copperheads look to close out Bisons in Game 4 of HJHL South Division Final

OKOTOKS – Following a dominating weekend on the ice, the Coaldale Copperheads will look to punch their ticket to the Heritage Junior Hockey League final with a win on Monday night (Mar. 12) in Okotoks.

Already leading the series 1-0 entering Friday, Mar. 9, the Copperheads went into Okotoks and thanks to two goals and an assist from Sam Paskuski defeated the Bisons 6-1 for a 2-0 series lead.

On top of Paskuski’s pair of goal, Mitchell Konshuk, Calvin Swanson, Tyler Anderson, and Jayden Bexte also scored in the victory.

Goaltender Nolan Berner, as he has all playoffs long, stood tall making 39 saves for Coaldale.

The following night back in Coaldale, the Copperheads did it again, defeating the Bisons 3-1 to take a commanding 3-0 series lead.

Nolan Berner was strong again making 30 saves in the victory, while Brandyn Howg, Mitchell Konschuk, and Brandon Langridge had the offence for Coaldale.

The Copperheads can close out the series tonight and move on to face either the Red Deer Vipers or Airdrie Techmation Thunder in the finals.

Puck drop is set for 8 p.m.
