Berezan named recipient of U of L Volunteer Award
LETHBRIDGE – A former University of Lethbridge senator and Board of Governors member has been honoured with this year’s Volunteer Award by the U of L.
James Berezan served on the university’s senate from 2004-2009, when he was appointed by the lieutenant-governor to the Board of Governors, to serve as the public representative. He was described as bringing a “calm nature and dedicated professionalism” to the role.
Berezan, a chartered accountant, chaired the audit and finance committees and served on others. He continues to take part in ad hoc committees and attends university events.
His other community involvement includes boards and committees for Covenant Health, St. Michael’s Housing Association, the Lethbridge Public Library, and CPA Alberta.
