Alberta Serious Response Team investigating incident between suspect and Lethbridge Police

LETHBRIDGE- UPDATE: Alberta's Serious Incident Response Team has issued a statement regarding the events involving a Lethbridge Police Officer and potential break and enter suspect. According to a statement from ASIRT, an alarm was triggered just after 12 a.m.

High-school iGEM team earning awards ahead of competition

LETHBRIDGE -  Given the cost of printer ink and the environmental consequences of its manufacture, this year the University of Lethbridge high school iGEM team has chosen a project that might solve both problems.

Defence says progress is coming in attempted murder, sexual assault case

LETHBRIDGE – One week after the case against Denzel Dre Colton Bird was adjourned so the Crown and defence could continue resolution discussions, the defence has asked for more time.

Products made from corn are produced at the Lethbridge plant, while Taber makes chips from local potatoes, and Spitz Sunflower Seeds are produced at Bow Island.

Preliminary inquiry resumes for man accused in infant’s death

LETHBRIDGE – A preliminary inquiry is back underway for a 41-year old Lethbridge man, accused of second degree murder in the death of a nine-month old boy.

The prelim for Tyler Brian Hogan is to determine if there is enough evidence for the case to proceed to trial.
