Jan 28, 2016 | 3:02 PM

The Pronghorns Men’s and Women’s hockey teams both face off against the UBC Thunderbirds but one will be on the road and the other at home.

The men travel to Vancouver for a pair of contests against UBC following a 1-1 home stand against the Manitoba Bisons.

The Thunderbirds are looking to bounce back after a rough outing against the Saskatchewan Huskies last weekend.

UBC dropped both games by scores of 2-0 and 6-2.

The ‘Horns and the T-Birds both enter the weekend series struggling as they both hold a  2-8-0 in their last ten starts but the T-Birds lead the ‘Horns by four points for the final playoff spot.

The two sides will battle Friday at 8:00pm MT, and Saturday 8:00pm MT.

Meanwhile,  the women’s Proghorn hockey team is back home after a very successful road trip to Manitoba as they beat the Bisons 3-2 and 2-1.

The women will look to carry that momentum from Manitoba and as they play host to Canada West’s top team, and #9 CIS ranked UBC Thunderbirds.

The T-Birds also earned two wins on the road last weekend in Saskatchewan against the Huskies, winning by scores of 2-1 and 3-1.

The ‘Horns come into the weekend sporting an 8-11-2-1 record.

The T-Birds rock a solid 11-6-3-2 record.

The puck drops on the first game of the series on Friday at 7:00pm and then on Saturday at 1:00pm for the weekend closing contest.
