Exhibition Park Officials Sit Down With Provincial Ag Minister

LETHBRIDGE – Officials with Exhibition Park met with the provincial Agriculture Minister earlier this month.
The seven regional exhibitions in the province met with Oneil Carlier for a one hour session to discuss their role in the province and the use of grant funding they get from the department.
Exhibition Park General Manager Rudy Friesen says it was a very good conversation. “He’s very supportive of the work we do and very appreciative of the work that we do. He sees that as a group of seven exhibitions, we really capture rural Alberta and he feels that that’s really important. So it was encouraging and positive messaging for us for sure,” Friesen adds.
The meeting took place just before the Alberta Association of Agricultural Societies Convention in Edmonton.
