LETHBRIDGE: Two women charged in connection with a stabbing on the night of the federal election, have elected trial by judge and jury.

Jeremy Elisha Many Shots and Shawna Denise Crow Spreads His Wings were charged following the October 19, 2015, incident, in which a 42-year old woman was stabbed outside a bar along the 400 block of 6 Street South. The victim was transported to hospital and treated for serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.

An investigation determined that two women were involved in a physical altercation with the victim, who was punched, kicked and stabbed. They noted that it appeared to have been a targeted attack over a previous dispute.

The case will return to court on March 9, at which time they will schedule a preliminary hearing to ensure there’s enough evidence to go to trial.
