Hurricanes Open Eastern Road Trip With A Win Over Moose Jaw

LETHBRIDGE: Moose Jaw may have opened the scoring but, Hurricane Cory Millette had a hat trick and went on to lead Lethbridge past the Warriors 5-1 Wednesday night in Moose Jaw.

To top it off, Millette logged his first hat-trick in his 302nd WHL game.

Other goals came from Andrews Nielsen, 45 second into the second frame and Brayden Burke finished off the period with the team’s fourth goal.

The Hurricanes out-shot the Warriors 45-36, with Stuart Skinner making 35 saves in net.

With the win, the Hurricanes’ record moves to 42-20-1-1 on the season and it keeps the team tied with Brandon for first overall in the Eastern Conference.

The Hurricanes continue their Saskatchewan road trip with a game in Saskatoon on Friday night, before moving on to Prince Albert on Saturday night.
