Businesses to be Recognized for Regional Contributions

LETHBRIDGE – Three businesses will be honoured for their efforts in developing regional economies.

SouthGrow Regional Initiative will hold its Recognition Awards on April 14 at 5-pm at the Lethbridge Lodge.

A panel of three judges will determine this year’s winners.

 

The nominees are as follows:

Excellence in Business Retention, Growth, Expansion

– International Truck Body Ltd., Coaldale

– Sandstone Motel & Restaurant & Gas Plus, Milk River

 

Excellence in Innovation

– vTV – Vulcan Television Network, Vulcan

– Vulcan Business Development Society, Vulcan

 

Excellence in Collaboration or Partnership

– Lethbridge Sports Council, Canada Winter Games Regional Bid Committee

– Milo Business Centre, Milo & District Ag Society and Palliser Regional School Division

– Southern Alberta Education Partnership, Town of Magrath, Cardston County and Westwind School Division

– Vulcan County Health and Wellness Foundation, Vulcan County, Town of Vulcan and the Villages of Arrowwood, Carmangay, Champion, Lomond, Milo

 

SouthGrow was formed in 2003 as a non-profit regional economic development alliance. It encompasses 23 rural communities, with the goal of encouraging collaboration, focussing on development issues and ensuring equal growth and development opportunities in Alberta.
