Raymond Constituency Office Closing Following MP Hillyer’s Death

MEDICINE HAT – After the death of Medicine Hat – Cardston – Warner MP Jim Hillyer, his constituency office in Raymond will close on April 22nd.

Personnel in the Medicine Hat office will continue to provide services for all constituents in the riding, as Canada’s House of Commons regulations allow two employees to be retained following a members death.

They will work to address constituents concerns as they relate to federal issues until a by-election is held.

Hillyer was found dead in his Parliament Hill Ottawa office on Wednesday, March 23. He was 41.
