Third Annual Exploration Expo to Promote Scientific Discovery

LETHBRIDGE- After two years of sharing hands-on research and learning with southern Alberta, Exploration Expo is returning for its third annual today from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the University Hall Atrium at the University of Lethbridge.

The event will build on the success of previous years as visitors will have the opportunity to participated in activities designed to appeal to all ages.

Guests can program their own robots, try out a pair of 3D goggles, learn about how the heart works, create art and more.

Craig Cooper, U of L Faculty of Arts & Science Dean Dr. said that the event was launched as a way to to engage the community with university faculty and students and the research activities with which they are involved.

“The outreach activities we are involved in are always so rewarding and through Exploration Expo, we hope to see people of all ages come to campus and explore what we have to offer.”

The day will kick off with a giant word search, with prizes for the first 20 finishers.
