Jun 9, 2016 | 10:49 AM

CANADA – The prices some Canadian farmers received for their products in March was down by just under one per cent from a year ago.

Statistics Canada says the livestock and animal products part of the index was down 7.5 per cent.

That was led by an over 16 per cent drop in cattle and calf prices.

Prices for supply-managed products also dropped — just over four per cent for eggs, almost four per cent for dairy and about 2.5 per cent for poultry.
