LETHBRIDGE:   Coaldale RCMP and Raymond Emergency crews responded to a fatal collision around 5:00 Wednesday morning at the intersection of Highway 4 and Highway 845.

A car was north bound on Highway 845 when the driver of the vehicle failed to negotiate the curve, lost control and rolled the vehicle through a ditch and across the railway tracks.  The car came to rest on its roof near the track.  The driver, a 58 year old man, sustained serious injuries and died at the scene. RCMP are not releasing a name and a medical examiner will determine the cause of death.

Around 7:50 the same morning, a train collided with a double tandem semi at Highway 4 and Range Road 211. Traffic on Highway-4 was rerouted for several hours.

The driver of the semi was taken to hospital with undetermined injuries.  No one on the train was injured and C-P Rail Police have taken over investigation of the incident.
