LETHBRIDGE – Expect iconic Canadians to headline next year’s Greatness in Leadership event in Lethbridge.

The date, March 7, was announced at a breakfast to mark Teamwork Training’s 25th anniversary Thursday, Oct. 20. That also led to the theme for the next event – Spirit of a Great Community. CEO Ryan Miller explained they’re tying in their birthday with Canada’s 150th birthday, the 50th anniversary of the U of L, Lethbridge College’s 60th birthday, the Rotary Club’s centennial, and the soon-to-be-reached population milestone of 100,000.

“Some of the people we have coming in are iconic Canadians, true community leaders,” Miller said. “It’ll be our best event yet.”

He added they’re close to confirming the lineup, and a formal announcement is expected in November. Past speakers at the management development day include Wayne Gretzky and astronauts Buzz Aldrin and Chris Hadfield.

The career and employment organization also celebrated its birthday by presenting $25,000 in scholarship funds to the college and U of L. Those in attendance listened to a presentation from author Chester Elton, who was part of last year’s event.
