LETHBRIDGE – A major assault that resulted in a 16-year old Standoff boy being airlifted to a Calgary hospital in critical condition, will be heard in Cardston court.

Harlin Ray Crow Spreads His Wings, a 20-year old man also from Standoff, appeared in Lethbridge Provincial Court Thursday (Oct. 20) morning, facing charges of aggravated assault, assault with a weapon, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and mischief to property.

A lawyer – who made it clear he was appearing as an agent only for Crow Spreads His Wings – asked for the matter to be adjourned to October 24 and moved to Cardston Provincial Court.

Emergency crews were called about a fight in progress last Sunday (Oct. 16) in Standoff, on the Blood Reserve. Once on scene they found the teen near a residence and suffering from severe head injuries. He was airlifted by STARS to Foothills Hospital in Calgary in critical condition.
