CHL names Estephan Player of the Week

TORONTO – The honours continue to pile up for Hurricanes forward Georgio Estephan.

One day after Estephan was named the WHL player of the week, the Canadian Hockey League bestowed the same title upon him Tuesday, April 11.

During the week ending April 9 the Buffalo Sabres prospect scored four goals with three assists, including a hat trick in the Hurricanes’ 7-4 game two victory over the Medicine Hat Tigers.

The Edmonton native, who turned 20 on Feb. 3, had 35 goals and 54 assists in 68 regular season games, and was tied for the playoff scoring lead with teammate Tyler Wong heading into Tuesday’s game three.
