Bulls clinch second with win over Brooks

BROOKS — A late rally clinched home field advantage for the Lethbridge Bulls.

The Bulls scored eight unanswered runs to defeat the Brooks Bombers 10-7 Sunday, July 30. Brock Frentzel homered, while Darius Carter, Alex Bishop, and Nolan Handley each had two hits.

Starting pitcher Jesse Hilyard earned the win, allowing seven runs, two of them earned, on ten hits over seven innings.

Medicine Hat defeated Edmonton 12-9, so the Bulls and Mavericks finish with identical 27-21 records. However, Lethbridge wins the tiebreaker and finishes second while Medicine Hat is in third place.
