LETHBRIDGE –  For the second year in a row, the host Lethbridge Junior Bulls are the Junior Canadian Little League Champions.  The team defeated Ontario on Thursday afternoon by a score of 12-2 to win the gold medal.

The Bulls now move on to the World Junior Little League in Taylor, Michigan, which begins Sunday and runs to August 20.

The Junior Bulls made their mark early in the game, with a 7-0 lead in the first inning.  Over the next three innings, the team tallied four more runs.

The double-digit win was not the first for the team.  With the exception of one game, the boys recorded double digit wins in the rest of their matches.

In other action, Alberta took the Bronze medal with a 14-0 win over BC.

The Medicine Hat Little League Junior All-Stars, who donned Alberta colours, made easy work in the bronze medal game, downing Team BC in six innings to finish third in the country.
