LETHBRIDGE –  Approval of the River Valley Parks Master Plan, second and third readings to approve more than $12,000,000 to borrow and buy the land Park Place Mall sits on, and potentially postponing the Downtown Parking Meter Replacement Project  are just a few of the items on Lethbridge City Council’s agenda Monday, Aug. 28.

Council will also get an official request for $250,000 per year from 2018 to 2020, to help host a Canadian PGA Tour event in the city, and a request for authorization to host the 2018 Canadian Championships in Trampoline Gymnastics.

The city’s new Transit Master Plan, which was introduced to Council earlier this summer may be shelved for a few months, so that it can be discussed at a Community Issues Committee Meeting in the first quarter of 2018.

And there will also be a request for Council’s approval to lease a portion of the Mountainview Cemetery grounds to Rogers Communications, for $18,000 per year.
