WATERTON LAKES NP -  Another mandatory evacuation has been ordered in relation to the Kenow fire that has now moved intro Waterton.

Soul crushing photos are being posted by members of the MD of Taber Regional Fire Department (MDTRFS) Task Force who are in Waterton.

Around 9:45 Monday night, photos show the fire in Cameron Valley, as the blaze is steadily pushed towards the town-site.

MDTRFS Task Force members from Engine 4-3 are wetting down structures in the path of the fire. During the night crews will watch for embers and any fires they ignite. Fire crews will do everything possible to preserve property and the natural beauty of Waterton.

As fire crews douse the town-site, another Mandatory Evacuation Notice was been issued.  This one for residents South of Township Road 3-0 within Township 02, Range 29.

Residents of this area should leave. Head North on Highway 6. A reception center is activated at the Vertical Church, 1200 Ken Thornton Blvd. Residents evacuating should go the reception center or call 403-904-8016 to register.
