PENTICTON – Lethbridge’s Casey Scheidegger and Team Alberta are out at the Scotties Tournament of Hearts following a 6-4 loss against Wild Card entry Kerri Einarson on Friday, Jan. 2.

It was the third straight loss for the Lethbridge rink, finishing 7-4 overall after a solid preliminary round where they went 6-1 in pool play.

Trailing 5-4, Scheidegger had a chance with last rock to even the game, but after bumping the Wild Card stones, her rock slid too far for a steal of one.

Einarson’s team has earned top spot in the playoff round of the Canadian women’s curling championship, which sets Team Wild Card up for a meeting against Manitoba’s Jennifer Jones in the Page 1-2 playoff on Saturday.
