New Business Improvement Loan Program announced by Lethbridge County

LETHBRIDGE – Lethbridge County has announced a partnership with Community Futures Lethbridge Region to offer a Business Improvement Loan Program.

Eligible businesses in Lethbridge County will be able to apply for interest free loans up to $10,000 to make improvements or upgrades to their business at a low cost.

Reeve Lorne Hickey says this program is a great way for Lethbridge County to support businesses in their region.

“Encouraging growth of local business is important to our economy and we are proud to team up with Community Futures Lethbridge Region for this wonderful initiative,” Hickey said.

Examples given of eligible improvements for loans include: business equipment, information technology, new/upgraded equipment to enhance business/production operations, signage, point of sale systems, energy efficiency upgrades leading to lower operating costs, landscaping, etc.

Economic Development Officer Martin Ebel says they’re very happy to be partnering with the Community Futures Lethbridge Region team to provide meaningful support to County businesses.
