RCMP hoping for new information into murder of Adrienne McColl 16-years ago

NANTON – She was last seen alive around Valentine’s Day, 2002.

It will be 16 years on Saturday, Feb. 17, that 21-year-old Adrienne McColl’s body was found in a rancher’s field five miles outside of Nanton.

Calgary and Nanton RCMP say the investigation into her death is ongoing. In fact, members of the RCMP’s Major Crimes Unit say they’ve been following up on recent tips in the investigation, and re-examining ones gathered years ago as well.

New technologies, RCMP explain, have emerged which have allowed for new information to be obtained from evidence gathered at the time McColl’s body was found.

Investigators on the case say the key now lies with the person or persons who know how the 21-year-old died, and they’re asking anyone with information to contact their local RCMP, police service or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
