LETHBRIDGE – A 37-year old Lethbridge man has been charged with more than half a dozen sexual offences involving a 13-year old girl.

According to ALERT’s Internet Child Exploitation Unit (ICE), the man was arrested at his home on Feb. 22, 2018, and several of his computers and electronic devices were seized. Lethbridge Police and RCMP assisted in the investigation after information was received in Sept.2017.

ALERT alleges that the man was engaging in sexually explicit online chats with the girl. It’s also believed that nude photos were being exchanged.

According to Const. Jason Richmond, the suspect knew the victim and her caregivers and made arrangements to entice the girl away from her caregivers to meet him. When the two met, the girl was allegedly sexually assaulted.

Gary Lippa has been charged with three counts of child luring, abduction, sexual assault, and making, accessing and possessing child pornography.

Lippa is scheduled to be in Lethbridge court Friday, March 9.

At this point, Richmond says they’re not aware of any other victims, however anyone with information about the investigation or any other child exploitation offence should contact police or http://www.cybertip.ca
