Lethbridge Speed Skaters Qualify for Canada West Short Track Championships

LETHBRIDGE – 16 skaters from the Lethbridge Speed Skating Association competed at the RU Fast Short Track Meet held this past weekend in Calgary with some solid results.

Over 290 skaters from Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Yukon, and the Northwest Territories competed at the event.

Two Lethbridge skaters received medals for their performances:

Jonnathon McIntosh – LT2 (Learn to Train) Division 1

Preslee Muller   – T2T (Train to Train) 13 Female

The meet was the second of two qualifiers for Alberta skaters to attend the Canada West Short Track Championships which are being held in Abbotsford, British Columbia on Mar. 17 and 18.

Five individuals from the Lethbridge Speed Skating Association have qualified to represent Alberta at the Canada West Short Track Championships in their respective age class:

Riley Vanderburgh – T2T 12 Male

Seth Muller – T2T 14 Male

Mikka Eaves – T2T 11 Female

Preslee Muller – T2T 13 Female

Jasmine Belisle – T2T 14 Female
