Army reservists training Friday at Indian Battle Park

May 18, 2018 | 5:24 AM

LETHBRIDGE – Soldiers in uniform, carrying weapons, will be navigating their way around Indian Battle Park Friday, May 18.

It’s a training exercise for roughly three dozen reservists working on their Basic Military Qualification. They’ll be wearing Canadian Disruptive Pattern uniforms and using maps and compasses to navigate.

You can also expect to see military vehicles around Fort Whoop-Up. No ammunition or pyrotechnics are involved. Signs are being posted, and police and the city are aware.

The Army says there’s no significant disturbance expected to the community, and they won’t trespass on private land.
