LETHBRIDGE — City fire crews were called to the Legacy Lodge senior centre on the north-side around 11:00 on Thursday (May 24) to deal with a fuel spill.
A fire inspector confirmed to LNN that the situation was caused when the building’s back-up generators were over filled with diesel.
A remedial clean-up crew was brought in to handle the spill.
Residents of the centre did not have to be evacuated, but fire crews did ventilate the building as a safety precaution.
