Bulls drop season opener in Edmonton

EDMONTON – The Lethbridge Bulls managed just three hits in a season-opening 7-1 loss to the Edmonton Prospects Thursday, May 31.

Two of those hits came from Liam Vulcano, including a double and an RBI, driving in the team’s lone run by Carter Witbeck.

Starting pitcher Ben Erwin allowed four runs on nine hits over five innings, while striking out five batters. Bryce Fraser, pitching in relief, gave up another three runs on five hits.

The Bulls head to Fort McMurray next, for a three-game series against the Giants starting Friday, June 1.
