Opportunities for physical activity to be showcased at Saturday event

LETHBRIDGE – Health and recreation programs of all kinds will be on display during a free event Saturday, June 2.
Lethbridge SportFest will showcase multiple exhibitors from the fields of sport, recreation, health and nutrition. The event will include “Come Try It” zones, including one on a synthetic ice surface.
New this year is a Bike Rodeo organized by the Southwest Alberta Road Safety Society, including information on properly-fitting bicycle helmets. Free kids’ helmets will be given out, while supplies last.
The goal is to spotlight opportunities people have in Lethbridge to take part in sports and other activities, in one location. This is the fourth annual SportFest, put on by the Lethbridge Sport Council.
