Mercier grand slam helps lead Bulls to second win

BROOKS – A sixth-inning grand slam by Brett Mercier helped lead the Bulls to their second win of the season, a 13-7 victory over the Brooks Bombers Sunday, June 10.

Lachlan Mayo, Ashton Roy, and Jesse Hilyard also homered for Lethbridge as the team improved its record to 2-7. Brent Semeniuk scored two runs on three hits.

Starting pitcher Liam Vulcano had the win, despite leaving the game after three innings. Vulcano walked five while allowing three runs on two hits. He also recorded five strikeouts.

The Bulls’ next game is Tuesday, June 12 at home to Medicine Hat.
